Our success story this month features twin brothers Eli and Noah of Wiscasset.

We first met the boys three years ago, when Summer Books Coordinator Robin Buczkowski expanded the program’s reach to more locations in Lincoln County. Eli, Noah, and their mother, Mindy, became instant regulars, selecting free books from the bins in the back of Robin’s “Summer Books Mobile.” Mindy was so thrilled to have Summer Books come to their community that she requested the visits continue into the fall. “I was more than happy to oblige,” said Robin. “Mindy is really invested in her children’s education.” For two years, Robin made the additional fall deliveries, which included special requests for Eli and Noah, as well as for other children in the neighborhood. Now, this fall, Noah and Eli have enrolled in Read Together, our free tutoring program for children, and will begin twice-weekly sessions with their tutors in October. We look forward to seeing how Noah and Eli continue to flourish as they take advantage of a second Midcoast Literacy program.
